On June 17, Troop 75's rope bridge was, as usual, one of the major attractions at Kings Park Day.  Children from all around lined up behind the library to cross the bridge, constructed entirely from lashing.  Thanks to all Scouts who helped in constructing the bridge in the morning, a project that came from weeks of preparation.

Also on the same day...

Troop 75 was asked by our sponser to help out at the Northport V.A. Hospital's Hawaiian party given by the Workman's Benifit Fund of the U.S.A.  Three adults and four scouts went to the V.A. to serve the veterans. This left the Monkey Bridge activity short handed.but was maintained by the remaining Scouters and Scouts.  The people who were working at the party were very appreciative of our Scouts helping out.  Each person received a certificate of appreciation. A few weeks later Tee shirts were given to me to give to the people who attended.  The Scouts who attended were Mike B., Bill D., Keith J., and Tim O. The adults were Chris Boundy, Rob Yong and Ed McDermott
