Kings Park Boy Scout Troop 75 - new scouts together with their patrols and older scouts - backpacked at a soggy Blydenburgh Park. The weather was less than perfect, rain the night before and morning of the hike and campout. Troop 75 scouts know how to have fun in any kind of weather. We are always prepared!
Additionally, scouts learned safety and proper use of pocketknives, axes, and saws, earning the Totin’ Chip card. Fire safety during campouts, fire starting, and proper use of matches was all covered, earning scouts their Fireman Chit. Our new scouts are learning to be well prepared and that safety is the number one consideration during all camping/backpacking functions.
