On Saturday, March 29, Troop 75 completed an annual ritual of hiking 20 miles.  This year it was along the the Long Island Pine Barren's Trail. 13 scouts of all levels and ages, joined by 12 adults, participated in this event.  Starting at the crack of dawn, the troop hiked throughout the day with almost all members finishing the entire 20.4 mile distance, including a couple of brand new members.  Throughout the day, at pre-determined locations where the trail comes out to a road, the hikers were met by parents in a chase car who re-supplied them with water and provided relief to anyone needing a break.  Sunny, cool, and breezy...perfect for hiking!
